Frequently asked questions

Is this data anonymous?
Yes. GreenLight only stores anonymous milestone events (status changes) — never your name, receipt number, or any identifying information. Your receipt number stays on your device. Only the fact that a milestone occurred (and the form type) is recorded.
What does 'status change' mean?
A status change is any USCIS case update — receipt, biometrics scheduled, RFE issued, case transferred, approved, denied, etc. The community pulse counts how many of these events GreenLight users have reported in the last 7 days for each form type.
How often is this data updated?
This page refreshes its data every hour. The underlying 7-day rolling window means the numbers reflect the most recent 7 days of community activity.
Why does a form show 'growing community'?
When fewer than 5 status changes have been reported for a form type in the last 7 days, we don't show a number to protect the privacy of early users (small counts could reveal individuals). We show a low-activity message instead and invite you to track your case to add the first data points.
How do I add my case to the community?
Sign up free at GreenLight. When you track your case status, your anonymous milestones are automatically included in the community aggregate. You'll also get access to your personalized case timeline, checklist, and plain-English status decoding.
